MHW Iceborne Monsters Guide – Yian Garuga

Yian Garuga is back! This annoying monster joins the alway-angry with it’s powerful beak and ear-piercing roar.

To face this monster, you must first complete the main story of Iceborne expansion, this will allow you to go to the Guiding Land – a special end game area that allow you to traverse through the different environments for monster hunting!

It is not technically unlocked, but Yian Garuga first encounter can only be done after you reach the Guiding Land and finish the fight with Zinogre.

After Zinogre fight, you will need some more investigation before the quest is assigned. Upon visiting the Guiding Land Ancient Forest section, you will see a quick demonstration on the power of this ancient bird wyvern.

MHW Iceborne Yian Garuga Guide

Yian Garuga main element is fire, and it’s tail attack will inflict poison to you. To prepare for the fight, make sure you have some antidote in case you got hit by the tail swipe.

Yian Garuga also has a special triple fireball attacks similar Rathian, but is way stronger.

For physical damage, Yian Garuga also uses his powerful beak to attack you with powerful force. This can be telegraph when he tries to fly up. This can one-shot you if you have low defense.
