Ghost of Yōtei, the highly anticipated sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, is set to launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 on October 2, 2025. Developed by Sucker Punch Productions, this new installment introduces players to a fresh narrative set in 1603, focusing on a new protagonist, Atsu, a young Ronin on a quest for vengeance.

The game unfolds in the mountainous region of Ezo (modern-day Hokkaido), offering a more vertical and immersive open-world experience. Players will have the freedom to choose their path, deciding which of the six targets, known as the Yōtei Six, to pursue first. This non-linear approach enhances the depth and replayability of the game.

In addition to the main storyline, Ghost of Yōtei introduces new gameplay mechanics, including the ability to build campfires for rest and reflection, and the inclusion of firearms, marking a significant evolution from its predecessor. The game’s combat system has been refined to offer more technical and strategic encounters, catering to both returning fans and newcomers alike.

Pre-orders for Ghost of Yōtei will open on May 2, 2025, with various editions available:
