What’s in Mid-Game?
Part 2 of your journey opens up The Continent and several isles accessible only after acquiring movement upgrades like teleportation, portal manipulation, or Esquie’s advanced forms. Enemies become tougher, and so do the rewards — many of these Pictos offer:
Status stacking effects (Burn, Mark, Stun)
Support utility (Heal boosts, AP regen)
Advanced combos (via stacking effects or turn order)

Healing Death | On death, the rest of the Expedition recovers all Health. | Old Lumiere (Manor Gardens) | After Renoir is defeated, follow the path beyond the Paint Cage to access a section that is filled with grapple points, threads, and handholds. After traversing that section, descend the slope and defeat the Nevron at the bottom to obtain the Perilous Parry Pictos. The Healing Death Pictos is on the ground next to that Nevron. | ||||
Revive Paradox | Play immediately when revived | Old Lumiere (Train Station Ruins) | After beating Renoir, return to the Entrance expedition flag and follow the critical path to reach a ledge where two gold threads can be activated. Head right at the ledge to reach the Train Station Ruins expedition flag, and continue forward, descending a gold thread when necessary, to reach the Chromatic Danseuse. | ||||

Double Burn | On applying a Burn stack, apply a second one | 132 | 7% | Visages (Anger Vale) | From the Flag, head to the right towards the big face. Look to the right to find a little cave. Walk inside and then towards the left to find some enemies standing near the Pictos. | ||
Powered Attack | On every damage dealt, try to consume 1 AP. If successful, increase damage by 20% | 132 | 7% | Visages (Anger Vale) | From the Flag, head right towards the big face, but head left into a corridor that leads to a magic rope and a Pictos. | ||

Expert Combination Tips (Mid-Game Pictos)
Support Combinations
1. AP Support Loop
Energising Heal + Shared Care + Accelerating Heal
Heal allies → restore AP + Rush + self-heal
Best on: Lune (Support), Maelle (Hybrid), or Monoco (Team Regen)
2. Healing Shell Chain
Protecting Heal (from Part 1) + Shared Care + Healing Tint Energy
Chain heals apply Shell while restoring AP
Perfect for: Support Lune, Maelle, or long fights vs AoE bosses
Damage & Status Builds
3. Burn Mastery
Fueling Break + Critical Burn (from Part 1) + Ignition Loop
Break enemies to double burn, then crit vs burning targets
Great for: Sciel (multi-target), or Lune with Flame build
4. Rush & Speed Chain
Empowering Dodge + Accelerating Heal + Rush Extension
Gain damage and momentum by chaining Rush buffs
Best used by: Verso, Monoco (Agility Mask)
High-Risk High-Reward (Solo or Final Blows)
5. Executioner Package
At Death’s Door (Part 1) + Last Stand Critical + Solo Finish
Dominate when low on health or alone
Ideal for: Daredevil Verso or Monoco final blow setups
6. Painting Portal Builds
Combine Portal-Triggered Effects (like Empowering Dodge) with AP on Entry if unlocked
These create turn-opening burst combos after teleport fights
Best for: Teleport-based encounter areas (e.g. The White Tree dungeons)
Tips for This Region
Use Esquie abilities to swim and teleport between isle clusters
Return to old islands after unlocking a new Lumina — many Pictos require skill-based interactions
Check rooftops, cliffs, and painting-warped terrain for hidden drops
Most portal-linked zones reset enemies — farm AP-gain Pictos by repeating
